Lingerie Care Guide
Because the right care keeps your lingerie beautiful for so much longer
1. Hand-Wash Only (Always Recommended)
Your bra works hard — give her the gentle care she deserves.
Use cool water.
Add a mild soap or lingerie-specific wash.
Soak for a few minutes, then gently move the garment through the water.
Avoid scrubbing, twisting or wringing — this stresses the wires, lace and elastics.
2. Rinse Gently
Rinse in cool, clean water until the soap is completely removed.
Leftover detergent can weaken delicate fabrics over time.
3. Handle With Soft Hands
Press (don’t squeeze) excess water out with your palms.
Never wring — this can distort cups, stretch bands and damage wires.
4. Reshape & Dry Flat
Lay your bra flat on a clean towel to dry.
Gently reshape moulded or padded cups with your hands.
Keep out of direct sunlight or heat — these break down fibres and elastics.
Do not hang dry by the straps (it stretches them out).
5. Store With Intention
Give your lingerie the luxury of proper storage:
Stack moulded/padded bras cup-to-cup to protect their shape.
Fold soft-cup bras carefully with the band tucked behind.
Avoid crushing cups in drawers.
6. Wash Frequency
Rotate your bras between wears.
Allowing a bra to “rest” restores the elasticity and extends its lifespan.
Washing after 2–3 wears is ideal.
7. What to Avoid
To protect the life of your bras, avoid:
Washing machines (even in a bag)
Tumble dryers
Hot water
Harsh detergents
Bleach
Fabric softener (breaks down elastic)
Hanging bras by their straps to dry
8. Special Fabrics & Lace
Delicate lace, embroidery and mesh need extra love:
Wash individually or in a dedicated lingerie wash bag (but hand-wash is still best).
Avoid wearing perfumes/lotions directly under straps or along the band — it can cause premature fabric breakdown.
9. Wire & Structure Care
To prevent wire popping or distortion:
Always hand-wash.
Always dry flat.
Never crush moulded cups or fold wired bras in half.
10. Treat Your Lingerie Like an Investment
Your lingerie supports you — literally and figuratively.
Small moments of care help your bras stay supportive, keep their fit, last longer and feel beautiful on your skin.
